ZK Data Clouds
Privacy-First Cloud Storage
Visit zkdataclouds.comOverview
ZK Data Clouds is built on the premise that a storage provider should not be able to read what it stores. Files are encrypted in the browser before they ever leave the device, then split into shards and distributed across a network of independent storage nodes. Around the storage sits a full GDPR toolset — consent campaigns, subject access requests, a processing register, breach records and retention policies — aimed at companies that have to answer to a regulator rather than just claim they care about privacy.
What we built
- Migrated the entire platform off managed hosting onto a self-hosted stack
- Ran a security audit of the database and its access rules
- Fixed the upload, sharing and billing faults that surfaced after migration
- Client-side encryption pipeline so plaintext never leaves the browser
- Shard distribution across a network of independent storage nodes
- GDPR tooling: consent campaigns, subject access requests, processing register, breach records, retention policies
